The Cone Mosaic — the Ladder's Anti-Lock Pole, in a Plane
A periodic sampling lattice locks incoming spatial frequencies into coherent Moiré aliases — so the retina refuses it. The cone mosaic is disordered hyperuniform blue noise: as uniform as a crystal, as disordered as a gas. φ is this anti-lock pole's circular face; blue noise is its planar one.
